Vasiliki Mavroeidi

Dr Vasiliki Mavroeidi, an Economist in the Economic Transformation and Development Division at the OECD Development Centre (Paris, France), holds a Ph.D in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge, and an MSc (Dist.) in Economics and BA in Economics and Chinese from the School of Oriental and African Studies (UK). Prior to joining the OECD, she was an Industrial Development Specialist at UNIDO in Vienna and has worked as a consultant in Zambia and Malaysia. Her research interests include trade, industrial and innovation policies. In her role at the OECD Development Centre, she has co-ordinated the Production Transformation Policy Reviews of Shenzhen, China and Egypt, including a follow up report on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and industrialisation. She is currently leading a report on Start-up Asia, which explores the dynamics of start-up ecosystems and policies in India, Indonesia, Thailand and Viet Nam.
