Stanley Mukasa
Associate Director of Entrepreneurship - Carnegie Mellon University Africa
Stanley Mukasa is the Associate Director of Entrepreneurship at CMU-Africa, where he leads transformative tech-entrepreneurship initiatives aimed at creating dignified job opportunities across Africa. Stanley strongly believes in entrepreneurship and innovation as catalysts for economic transformation in Africa. Stanley designs and manages pan-African programs through the Industry Innovation Lab at CMU-Africa, such as the TechSkills Marketplace Program, which connects SMEs with tech interns from seven countries, benefiting 100 startups and 250 students. His experience involves overseeing tech incubation, training programs, and leading the annual Innovation Summit, which convenes academia, industry, and policymakers. Stanley also led the Startup Festival for CHOGM 2022 in Kigali which celebrated 30 Innovators from across Africa. He serves on several boards, including the Global Entrepreneurship Network in Rwanda and the Afretec Deep Tech Fund. Stanley holds a Ph.D. from the Swiss Management Center, a Master’s in Economic Policy Management from Makerere University, and an iMBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
