Prof. Mohamed Galal
Director, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, Al-azhar University
Prof. Mohamed Galal is the Dean, faculty of Engineering, Al-azhar University. He is also the advisor to the university President for innovation, entrepreneurship and incubators. Prof. Galal is the founding director of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center. He got his Ph.D. from School of Engineering, Friedrich-Alexander-University (FAU), Germany and a Master program titled “Managing Technology and Innovation: Managing disruptive Change”, Aachen University, Germany.
During the last 10 years, Prof. Galal has led different higher education institutions for establishing their entrepreneurial eco-system and supported their visions to move towards achieving the Entrepreneurial Model. Prof. Galal has an accumulative international experiences and impactful work in designing and managing incubators, business accelerators and emerging companies, entrepreneurship centres, and technology transfer offices.
In the frame of international cooperation he delivered trainings programs, research visits and study tours in different US universities such as; George Washington university (Center for Entrepreneurial Excellence), Georgetown university (MC Donough school of business), American university in Washington DC (AU) (Kogod school of business), university of Pittsburgh (Innovation Institute), Wayne State university, Oakland university and university of Michigan (Ross school of business).
He also completed diverse Professional programs including Entrepreneurial universities models, management of innovation and technology, and IPP at different universities worldwide such Babson college (Boston, USA), Aachen University (Germany), WIPO (China), London South Bank university, Birmingham university (London, UK), University of Cyprus (Cyprus), MTDC (Malaysia), KPMG (Cyprus), ASRT, TIEC, NU, GAFI (Egypt).
