As a dedicated entrepreneur with a robust international background, I have charted a career path marked by excellence and innovation. My academic journey includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from The British University in Egypt and an MBA in Finance from London South Bank University. Currently, I am honoured to serve as Chief Investment Officer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
With over a decade of experience in entrepreneurship, innovation, and enterprise, I proudly hold the position of Director at the Science and Innovation Park at The British University in Egypt. In this role, I orchestrate the park’s vision, strategy, and daily operations. My mission is to cultivate an ecosystem that nurtures knowledge-based sciences, innovation, and entrepreneurship. I achieve this by attracting and empowering tenants dedicated to developing tech-based products and services.
Additionally, I spearhead the Technology Innovation and Commercialization Office, offering critical services such as prior art searches, trend analysis in technology, and patent drafting for researchers and innovators. In parallel, I assume the role of Deputy Head of Enterprise, where I establish and oversee a department that delivers top-tier enterprise services, conducts applied research, provides innovative problem-solving solutions, offers state-of-the-art testing and prototyping facilities, and furnishes valuable information and insights to address industrial and business challenges.
Furthermore, I am a certified startup program designer, accredited by Babson College. This certification underscores my commitment to staying at the forefront of entrepreneurial practices and innovation, equipping me with the knowledge and skills needed to empower startups and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on their journeys to success.
Throughout my journey, I have had the privilege of making significant contributions to startups and SMEs, guiding them towards hyper-growth and the establishment of sustainable business models. This fulfilling work has not only allowed me to collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including the Egyptian Government, the private sector, and international donors through affiliations with the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation, Riseup, The British University in Egypt, and USAID, but has also enabled me to assume C-level positions and Director roles in renowned organizations.
