Hany Ayaad
Executive Director of Innovation Support Fund. MOHESR
As the Executive Director of the Innovation Support Fund of Egypt, under the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MOHESR), I am dedicated to fostering a thriving ecosystem for innovation and entrepreneurship in Egypt. With over 15 years of experience in academia and industry, I have a proven track record of driving strategic initiatives and fostering collaboration between government, academia, and the private sector.
In my role at MOHESR, I oversee the development and implementation of policies and programs that support research, development, and innovation. I am committed to empowering young entrepreneurs, providing them with the necessary resources, mentorship, and funding to realize their innovative ideas.
As the Chairperson of the Egyptian Youth Entrepreneurs Association (YEN), I am dedicated to playing a pivotal role in aggregating and connecting the various players within the entrepreneurship ecosystem. YEN serves as a central hub, bringing together entrepreneurs, mentors, investors, incubators, accelerators, and other relevant stakeholders. By fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing, we aim to create a more vibrant and supportive environment for entrepreneurship in Egypt.
Additionally, I serve as a Vice Dean at the Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), where I lead the strategic development and implementation of programs that enhance the student experience and foster a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation.
I hold a Ph.D. in Green Supply Chain Management from the University of Strathclyde in the UK and am an expert in optimizing operations, reducing environmental impact, and increasing competitiveness in various sectors. My contributions and achievements are evidenced by multiple publications, certifications, and awards.
