Dalia Sharaf, PhD, MSc, Finance and Investments
Dalia Sharaf is currently the Director of Applied Research and Analytics at the Entrepreneurship Center at AASTMT, which gives her hands -on experience with startups and the entire entrepreneurship ecosystem. She also mentors start-ups in pitching and conducts pitching training. She also mentors early stage start-ups in finance and overall business. She gives other training to start-ups or corporates such as personal financing.
Additionally, Dalia is an Associate Professor who specializes in Finance. She has taught a wide range of Finance Courses to undergraduate and postgraduate students for the past 14 years. She is currently an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the University of London at AASTMT under the Academic Direction of the London School of Economics and Political Science. She is also teaching postgraduate finance courses at The German International University and Cardiff Metropolitan University (MSc and MBA respectively).
Dalia earned her PhD in Finance from DeMontfort University (UK), specializing in Venture Capital Funding and Entrepreneurship.
She is also the founder and head of the Training of Trainers Program launched in collaboration between University of London at AAST and the Egyptian Exchange (EGX), in effort to spread financial literacy to youth in Egypt. This program was awarded by EGX as the most active and effective financial literacy program in Egypt in 2022-2023. Under this program she has set the syllabus and trained many senior students to become official, certified trainers on behalf of EGX.
She is also the head and founder of the CFA Ambassador Program at the University of London, which is a program that prepares students from the beginning of the university years to prepare for the CFA research challenge and the CFA mindset. This involves setting curriculum and supervising trainers to deliver them in different areas of financial analysis and valuation. Dalia Is also a faculty advisor to the CFA Research Challenge Team.
Dalia’s long teaching career in Finance and her passion for entrepreneurship support is surely to yet have a great impact on the start-up scene.
