Prof. Mohamed Galal is the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Al-Azhar University and Advisor to the University President for Innovation and Entrepreneurship. In 2025, he was appointed as a Board Member of the Presidential National Council for Education, Research, and Innovation. He is the founding director of the Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC), the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center, the Green Technology Center, and the Design House. Prof. Galal earned his Ph.D. from Friedrich-Alexander University (FAU), Germany, and a master’s degree in Managing Technology and Innovation from Aachen University. With over 15 years of experience, he has led initiatives to build entrepreneurial ecosystems in higher education and has collaborated with leading global universities including George Washington, Georgetown, Michigan, Babson, Aachen, and Birmingham.
